Bosworth Wood Processor by

Lil Bandit Machines

Overview

Lil Bandit Machines is proud to offer the Bosworth Wood Processor, a machine renowned for its robust build quality, advanced functionality, and ease of use. This processor is designed to streamline wood processing operations, providing both efficiency and durability for commercial and residential users alike.

Control Features

The Bosworth Wood Processor features a chainsaw lever equipped with a speed adjustment control valve, allowing for precise speed settings to match various log types and operator preferences. A single control lever operates both the wood log clamp and the chainsaw cutting arm, enabling simultaneous clamping and cutting for seamless workflow.

Innovative Log Handling

One common challenge with many wood processors is managing the final log cut and preventing the last log from falling into the splitter bay. The Bosworth addresses this with a dedicated log support arm and a top-down log clamp equipped with a roller, allowing the operator to adjust and secure the log under pressure. This design ensures that log ends remain in place during the final cut, enhancing safety and precision.

Operator Convenience and Safety

The operator control panel is slightly angled, improving ergonomics and visibility for the user. Additionally, a transparent window provides clear observation of the machine's operation while offering protection from flying debris. This allows the operator to monitor the machine’s working condition easily and safely.

Hydraulic System and Performance

The console is equipped with hydraulic working pressure gauges, ensuring that swing, clamping, and splitter pressures remain within optimal operating ranges—features typically found on higher-priced models. The machine holds 17 gallons of hydraulic reserve fluid, helping to manage heat load effectively.

A factory-installed, large-capacity, automatic temperature-controlled hydraulic cooler ensures the hydraulic fluid remains within the appropriate temperature range, even in hot weather conditions.

Debris Management and Conveyor System

Behind the splitting wedge, grates allow small debris to fall beneath the machine, keeping the split firewood cleaner as it moves onto the conveyor belt. The 11-foot exit conveyor is standard and can swing for easier bagging or loading operations.

Wedge and Infeed Features

The Bosworth comes with both 4-way and 6-way wedges at no additional cost. The infeed conveyor utilizes a chain feed instead of a belt feed, making it more durable, suitable for commercial use, and requiring less maintenance. The fuel tank is portable and designed for easy ground-level refueling.
